JAKARTA - Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant called France's ban on Israeli companies participating in the naval exhibition in Paris a "disgraceful thing" for the French nation.

"Prohibiting Israeli companies from participating in the Euronaval exhibition in Paris is the same as helping Israeli enemies during the war," Yoav Gallant said.

"France has adopted and consistently implemented hostile policies towards Jews. We will continue to defend our country against enemies in 7 different fields, and fight for our future with or without France," Gallant said in a social media post.

French President Emmanuel Macron called for an embargo on arms sale used in Israel's war in Gaza, while pushing for a ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon.

Israel said it was against the ceasefire's proposal.

The French government told the organizers of the force exhibition that the Israeli delegation could attend without any booths or equipment exhibitions. There were seven Israeli companies affected by the decision.

Israeli companies and citizens wishing to attend the show to be held in Paris on November 4-7, are welcome, according to a statement on the Euronaval website.

This is not the first time France has banned Israeli companies from appearing in arms exhibitions.

France banned Israeli companies from participating in the Eurosatory arms show in June, due to Israeli attacks on the southern Gaza city of Rafah.

Late this month, France will hold an international meeting to garner support for the Lebanese people and strengthen the country's security situation.
