JAKARTA - The Indonesian Church Association (PGI) asked the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo to review the dismissal of former Kaur Bin Ops (KBO) Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kupang City Police, Ipda Rudy Soik.
"We ask the National Police Chief to review the dismissal of Ipda Rudy Soik because it involves procedural matters that are certainly debatable," said PGI Executive Secretary Henrek Lokra as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 15.
He said the request was encouraged by the insistence of elements of society who voiced anxiety over the dismissal of Ipda Rudy who succeeded in uncovering the oil fuel mafia (BBM) case in NTT.
"Dismissal of Ipda Rudy Soik deeply disturbs the community's sense of justice," he continued.
Henrek Lokra assessed that the dishonorable dismissal or dismissal imposed on Ipda Rudy would only weaken the spirit of the apparatus in fighting for law enforcement and justice in the future.
Therefore, his party hopes that the National Police Chief can review the decision to dismiss Ipda Rudy Soik.
