MPR Leaders Meet Megawati And SBY Tomorrow

JAKARTA - MPR Chairman Ahmad Muzani will meet with the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) and 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia Megawati Soekarnoputri on Wednesday (16/10), to submit an invitation letter for the inauguration of the elected president and vice president.

"Tomorrow I will meet, God willing, I will meet with Pak SBY and Mrs. Megawati," said Muzani as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 15.

But Muzani said he did not know the location of the meeting.

"I don't know, whether it's Teuku Umar or where," he said.

Apart from SBY and Megawati, Muzani said that his party had succeeded in contacting Anies Baswedan, one of the presidential candidates in the 2024 General Election (Pemilu), related to his confirmation of his presence in the inauguration of the presidents.

"Mas Anies, God willing, said he would attend. I contacted Mas Ganjar, I couldn't connect yet," said Muzani.

Regarding the preparations for the inauguration, Muzani said the security forces were ready and alert. He also values the political conditions and the community conducive.

"I think the condition is very good, and God willing, the condition is very conducive," said Muzani.

The agenda for the inauguration of the elected president and vice president is scheduled to take place on October 20, 2024 at the Nusantara building, DPR/MPR, Jakarta, on October 20, 2024 at 10:00 WIB.
