LRT Phase 1B Velodrome-Manggarai Progress Reaches 31.14 Percent

JAKARTA - The progress of the Jakarta LRT project Phase 1B Velodrome-Manggarai reached 31.14 percent in the first week of October 2024.

"Ditargetkan deviasi positif pada akhir Oktober 2024 mencapai 34,503 persen dan hingga saat ini progres pembangunan LRT Jakarta Fase 1B sudah mencapai pengalaan'slabdeck viaduct' sampai 1,4 km serta pemasangan 'THird rail' pada panjang jalur Stasiun Velodrome menuju Stasiun Rawamangun," Direktur Utama PT Jakarta Propertindo (Perseroda) atau Jakpro, Iwan Takwin di Jakarta, Senin 14 Oktober, disitat Antara.

Iwan said positive progress was also recorded at the construction of Rawamangun Station which reached 38.04 percent.

He added that the station structure work had been completed, such as the station's architectural work, on the roof covering and the fasad floor or the outermost part of a building.

"As for the access section of visitors at Rawamangun Station, such as the installation of escalators and station inkways, it will also continue to be carried out," he said.

Meanwhile, Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono during a visit to the Jakarta Phase 1B LRT construction project in the Velodrome Station area saw the optimization of the building information modeling (BIM) technology to monitor development progress equipped with early detection technology for mismatch in quality and design, and also function as a data bank for all Jakarta Phase 1B LRT projects.

Then, a video of the journey of the Jakarta Phase 1B LRT project was shown since the laying of the first stone for construction which was held on October 30, 2023, last year until now.

In addition, the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru also witnessed the trial track using the Maintenance Rail Vehicle (MRV) train and appreciated the public and the public for being patient in supporting the construction of the 1B phase of the Jakarta LRT project.

According to him, the Jakarta LRT is a mass transportation that is urgently needed by urban communities because this transportation operation can reduce losses due to congestion and the second reduces air pollution.

"We thank the people who have been patient in traffic jams during the process of building the Jakarta Phase 1B LRT project. Thank you to Jakpro for completing the construction on time and even faster," he said.

Previously, Jakpro together with operational cooperation (KSO) as project implementer had recorded one of the important achievements in the construction of the 1B Phase Jakarta LRT, namely a trial route from Velodrome Station towards Rawamangun Station.

This trial was carried out by focusing on ensuring the functionality of the rail system and other technical aspects run well according to existing safety standards.

Then the trial of this route using the MRV train which was dispatched from Velodrome Station to Rawamangun Station.

Meanwhile, Jakpro President Director Iwan Takwin said the progress of the construction in the first week of October remained in a positive trend, such as the framework and roof of Rawamangun Station which entered the completion stage.

"We are also optimistic that the construction of the Jakarta Phase 1B LRT can be completed on time so that it can facilitate community mobility later," he said.

He added that although the development acceleration process was carried out, Jakpro still prioritized safety and focused on the construction stages.

"We have to 'inline safety' and construction. Don't build construction, we will accelerate it, then the'safety' will be ignored," he said.

The construction of the 1B Phase Jakarta LRT track with a length of 6.4 kilometers, starting from Velodrome to Manggarai, will have five new stations: Rawamangun Youth Station, BPKP Scout Station, Pramuka Market Station, Matraman Station and Manggarai Station.

Previously, the Phase 1A LRT had operated to serve six stations: Pegangsaan Dua Station, North Boulevard Station, South Boulevard Station, Pulomas Station, Equestrian Station and Velodrome Station.

Later, the total length of the route from Pegangsaan Dua Kelapa Gading Station to Manggarai Station will reach 12.2 km with a travel time of about 26 minutes.

It is targeted that the construction of phase 1 B will be able to carry 80,000 passengers per day in stages.
