Tak Setor Calon Menteri, NasDem Tegaskan Partainya Tetap Dukung Prabowo-Gibran

JAKARTA - Chairman of the NasDem Party faction of the DPR Viktor Bungtilu Laiskodat emphasized the attitude of his party in supporting the Prabowo-Gibran government in the 2024-2029 leadership period.

This, he said, was according to a statement of support made by the General Chairperson of the NasDem Party, Surya Paloh, after the General Elections Commission (KPU) appointed Prabowo as the elected president of the 2024 presidential election.

"This (the attitude of the NasDem Party) does not need to be questioned again because it has been done by the General Chairperson of the NasDem Party (Surya Paloh) when the KPU has appointed an elected president, since then NasDem has joined the Prabowo Subianto government," Viktor said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, October 14.

He said his party would contribute to the upcoming Prabowo-Gibran government through dozens of its cadres who sit in parliament.

"This is to support the government so that the thoughts of President Prabowo Subianto's vision and mission can be assisted through the thoughts of 69 people who will physically join the DPR," he said.

Viktor said the 69 members of the DPR from the NasDem Party faction would provide physical, mind, and energy support for the upcoming Prabowo-Gibran government.

"Therefore, there is no more opposition whether physically in the government or not, it is clear that 69 members of the DPR have joined the government of President Prabowo Subianto to help support the vision and mission of the President can be carried out with the support of the NasDem Party through the 69 members of the DPR," he said.

Previously, the Chairman of the NasDem Party, Surya Paloh, expressed his party's support for the Prabowo-Gibran government on April 25, 2024.

The visit was a retaliatory visit after the elected president Prabowo Subianto and his staff first visited NasDem Tower on March 22, 2024.

"NasDem today reiterated that it supports the new government under Prabowo-Gibran," said Surya Paloh at Prabowo's residence.
