Central Sulawesi Prosecutor's Office Confiscates IDR 3 Billion Of Evidence Of Corruption At Untad Palu Labkes

PALU - The Central Sulawesi High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) confiscated more than IDR 3 billion worth of evidence related to allegations of corruption in the procurement of Health Laboratory (Labkes) equipment at the education service of the Faculty of Medicine, Tadulako University (Untad) Palu for the 2022 fiscal year.

"The confiscation of evidence from the follow-up to the development of the case," said Head of the Central Sulawesi Attorney General's Office Bambang Hariyanto at a press conference reported by ANTARA, Monday, October 14.

He explained that evidence of cash was confiscated from the suspect with the initials TP as Director of CV Satria Bayu Aji based on Sprint confiscation number: Print-73/P.2.5/Fd.1/09/2024 dated September 26, 2024.

"Evidence is the return of state financial losses, as the results of the audit of the calculation of state financial losses from experts," he said.

Bambang said investigators had named TP and FZ as Commitment Making Officers (PKK) as suspects related to allegations of corruption that cost the state finances more than Rp. 3 billion.

He emphasized that the actions of the suspects were suspected of committing a criminal act of corruption as stipulated in Article 2 paragraph (1) subsidiary Article 3 Juncto Article 18 Law Law number 31 of 1999.

"It is suspected by the Law on the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law Number 20 of 2021 Juncto Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code," he said.

Previously, the Central Sulawesi Prosecutor's Office examined the two suspects and immediately detained them for 20 days, starting from September 23 to October 12, 2024 at the Palu Class II A State Detention Center.
