Receiving Support In The Jakarta Gubernatorial Election, Pramono Calls FBR Will Take Care Of TPS: So As Not To Be Cheated

JAKARTA - Jakarta Governor-Deputy Governor Pramono Anung-Rano Karno's candidate has officially received support from the Betawi Rempug Forum (FBR). FBR stated that it would not be neutral and try to win Pramono-Rano in the Jakarta gubernatorial election.

After receiving support, Pramono believes FBR can help win it with Rano significantly. Given, FBR is one of the largest Betawi community organizations (ormas) in Jakarta.

"So the FBR roots are below, because I have been in contact, interacting very long with the FBR. I know they have very strong roots below," said Pramono in North Grogol, North Kebayoran, South Jakarta, Sunday, October 13.

The candidates who were promoted by PDIP and Hanura said FBR would contribute on voting day. They will later guard each polling station (TPS) on 27 November.

"One of the things that will definitely have a very significant role, wait for the TPS, so that the TPS is not rigged. And that is what can do is FBR. So concrete, yes," said Pramono.

In the declaration of support, Pramono-Rano signed a political contract with FBR. Pramono and Rano promised to advance Betawi culture into Jakarta's main culture as the capital city moved to the archipelago, East Kalimantan.

So, if he wins the Jakarta gubernatorial election, Pramono promises that he and Rano will draw up regional regulations (perda) to implement the policy of advancing Betawi culture as a derivative rule of Law Number 2 of 2024 concerning Special Regions of Jakarta.

Referring to Article 31, the DKJ Provincial Government can budget for cultural endowment funds allocated from the APBD and can propose additional funds to the central government.

In addition, the DKJ Provincial Government is also authorized to involve business entities, educational institutions, traditional institutions and Betawi culture, as well as the community in advancing culture.

"We have received and what is the academic paper and also the traditional and cultural Betawi institutions. We will follow up, God willing, if we get the mandate," explained Pramono.

"We believe that this will definitely bring goodness to the Betawi people in Jakarta. Moreover, Jakarta is no longer the capital city, but as a global city and the center of the national economy," he added.

In addition, Rano Karno promised the General Chairperson of FBR Lutfi Hakim that he would directly oversee the preparation of the regional regulation regarding the promotion of Betawi culture, including the involvement of his customary institution if he officially became Deputy Governor of Jakarta.

"To Mr. Kiai Lutfi, I am very grateful and to Mas Pram, let me specifically oversee the traditional Betawi community institutions that we will realize," concluded Rano.
