JAKARTA - Jembrana District Attorney, Bali arrested a fugitive or DPO in a corruption case of the Village Credit Institute (LPD) after the person concerned fled abroad.

He said the suspect AKJA (30) was a former treasurer of the Yehembang Kauh Traditional LPD whose side was fingerprinted in 2022.
"We have named the person concerned and the head of the LPD at that time as suspects. However, during the investigation process, the former treasurer fled abroad," he said.
According to him, AKJA was arrested at his parents' house on Friday (11/10) afternoon in Banjar Pasatan, Pohsanten Village, Mendoyo District, where he lived after coming from Malaysia.
Based on the suspect's statement, he said, since leaving his house he has worked in the Johor Baru area, Malaysia.
"After the suspect is arrested, we will process it so that it can be tried as soon as possible at the Bali Corruption Court," he said.
Based on previous audits and examinations, he said, the funds belonging to LPD that were corrupted by women reached more than Rp. 300 million.
"The total LPD losses reached more than Rp900 million. The corruption was carried out by this suspect and the head of the LPD," he said.
