Kasad: Regional Command Is The Ujung Tombak Of The Indonesian Army For

JAKARTA - Army Chief of Staff (Kasad) General TNI Maruli Simanjuntak, M.Sc., emphasized that actually the role of the Regional Command is the spearhead of the Indonesian Army in the success of government programs and helping to overcome various community difficulties.

This was conveyed by Kasad in his direction at the Korem Commander's Apple (Danrem) and the Commander of the Military Command (Dandim) in 2024, which took place at the Mandiri Auditorium _Corporate University_, Jakarta, Thursday, October 10.

Kasad also revealed that the public's assessment of the increasingly positive TNI was the result of the contribution of territorial apparatus, which not only maintains regional conduciveness but also plays an active role in helping the community.

"Regional commanders are the main force in building closeness to the people, ensuring the TNI AD's flagship program is effective, and maintaining security at the border," he said in front of 418 apple participants.

The main task of the Indonesian Army, according to Kasad, includes preparing the base areas of resistance, securing land borders, and developing strengths by adding support units in vulnerable areas, combat assistance units, health, and Combat Engineers to accelerate and equalize development in the region.

Kasad also emphasized the importance of superior programs such as Manunggal Air, Food Security and Unity with Nature, which focuses on territorial development, as part of the implementation of the Universal People's Defense and Security System (Sishankamrata).

Furthermore, Kasad again invited the Danrem and Dandim to continue to innovate, establish close relations with influential community leaders, and establish good communication with local governments. In particular, Kasad also asked them to provide more support and attention to Babinsa, especially those who work in remote areas and outer islands.

After the briefing, Kasad gave awards to 21 TNI AD soldiers who excel in building and fostering people in their area, as well as to winners of territorial writing competitions.
