Taiwan President: China Uses Every Way That Makes Chaos

JAKARTA - Taiwanese President Lai Ching-te in his speech said China had used every means possible to cause "chaotic".

Lai, who took office in May after winning the election in January, was hated by China calling him a separatist'. Beijing claims democratic Taiwan as its own territory.

In his speech, Lai would say Taiwan was in a complex situation. China continues to disturb the island militarily and psychologically.

China continues to press Taiwan's international space and uses all means to cause chaos, Lai said.

China's Ministry of Defense previously reiterated its rejection of US arms sales to Taiwan after the Biden administration approved further defense support of USD 567 million.

"What needs to be emphasized is to arm Taiwan meaning to push for Taiwan independence, and Taiwan independence means war," the ministry said.
