Polda Metro Investigate Case Of KAI Fake Story Mistis On YouTube

Polda Metro Jaya is investigating a report made by PT Kereta Api Indonesia (PT KAI) regarding the virality of a person with the initials AS who claims to be a masnis.

In a report by PT KAI, AS claimed to be the driver in the Manggarai-Cigading area and told various mystical events on the Lenterang YouTube account.

"(This report) will be thoroughly investigated by friends from the Kamneg Sub-Directorate investigation team," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi to reporters, Wednesday, October 9.

Regarding the owner of the Lentera Malam account who is likely to be questioned as in handling the case, Ade has not been able to speak much. Because, this matter is the investigator's authority.

It is only emphasized that investigators will certainly consider or choose which parties will be questioned in an effort to disclose an alleged criminal act.

"Regarding what needs to be investigated by investigators, of course, it depends on the interests to complete the facts," said Ade.

Meanwhile, the PT KAI report is registered with the number LP/6068/X/2024/SPKT/POLDA METRO JAYA.

In the report, the reported AR allegedly violated Article 228 of the Criminal Code with a penalty of 2 years imprisonment or a fine of IDR 4.5 million.

For information, Lentera Malam's YouTube account has deleted the podcast video with the fake driver, previously entitled "Masinis Kereta Digentami Accident Victim".
