Man Trapped In Well In Kendari Dies, Basarnas Evacuates To Bhayangkara Hospital

The joint SAR team evacuated a man trapped in a well in Kadia District, Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi Province (Sultra), dead.

Head of Basarnas Kendari Aminuddin PS said the incident of the trapped man named Pipit (35) was first reported by the local Fire Department at 10.45 WITA.

"We received information that there has been a dangerous condition for humans, one person trapped in a well in Kadia District," Aminuddin said when met in Kendari, Wednesday, October 9, was confiscated by Antara.

Based on this information, his party dispatched the Kendari Basarnas Rescue Team to the reported location to provide SAR assistance at 11.00 WITA.

"The distance from the location is from the Kendari Basarnas about 7.3 kilometers," he said.

Aminuddin revealed that upon arriving at the location of the Kendari Basarnas Rescue Team, he immediately joined the potential that had been in the field to carry out the evacuation process for the victims.

"At 11.35 WITA the joint SAR team finished carrying out the evacuation process, where the victim was successfully evacuated dead," said Aminuddin.

After being evacuated, he continued, the victim was immediately taken to the Bhayangkara Hospital.

With the victim being evacuated dead, he said, the SAR operation was in a dangerous condition for one person trapped in the well and closed. "And, all elements involved are returned to their respective units," said Aminuddin.

Some of the elements involved in the operation included the Kendari Basarnas Ops Staff, the Kendari Basarnas Rescuer, the Kendari Fire Department, the Kendari Police, the local government, Babinsa, Bhabinkamtibmas, the Jatiraya Health Center, and the surrounding community.
