Pramono Promises To Continue The Development Of The Prophet's Museum In Ancol Reclamation Land

JAKARTA - Candidate for Governor of Jakarta number 3 Pramono Anung admitted that he would pursue the continuation of the construction of the Prophet's Museum or the Prophet's History Museum on the reclamation land of Ancol, North Jakarta.

The plan that will be carried out if elected in the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election has been conveyed to the 10th and 12th Vice Presidents of the Republic of Indonesia Jusuf Kalla who is also the General Chair of the Indonesian Mosque Council (DMI).

"If it is a mandate, I have also spoken to Mr. JK, when meeting with Mr. JK, we will continue the idea of continuing the Rasulullah Museum in Ancol and we will continue," said Pramono in West Pademangan, North Jakarta, Tuesday, October 8.

The construction of the Rasulullah Museum was originally initiated since the Anies Baswedan era as Governor of DKI Jakarta. Anies issued a permit to build the Prophet's History Museum and a floating mosque with an area of 3 hectares of tens of hectares of reclamation land.

Anies also had the groundbreaking in February 2020. The construction of this museum and mosque did not use the APBD, but Ancol's cooperation with the private sector used the concept of business to business (B2B).

However, since the COVID-19 pandemic hit the construction of the Rasulullah Museum, it has stopped until now. Thus, Pramono intends to continue its construction.

The continuation of this development is also an aspiration conveyed by the Secretary General of the DKI Jakarta RT-RW Forum Andi Pane to Pramono when the former Cabinet Secretariat visited his residence.

"Because this was in Jakarta which was close to Ancol at that time, including Pak Haji Andi Pane conveyed to continue the idea of the Prophet's Museum," Pramono explained.

Not only continuing the construction of the Prophet's Mosque, Pramono also admitted that he would solve the residents' problems with Ancol regarding the MSME empowerment program in the northern coastal tourist area of Jakarta.

"There is (the MSME program) in Ancol which is used by two of them. I think this one must be resolved even though it looks small but has to be resolved. It would be better if it was still one cart, so that people want to develop their MSMEs, depending on how tenacity the person concerned is to work in Ancol. So if there is, we will return it later," he added.
