Bawaslu Handles 3 Complaints For Campaigning In South Lmapung, Including ASN-Kades Involvement

JAKARTA - The Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of South Lampung Regency (Lamsel) handled three reports of alleged violations during the 2024 Pilkada campaign period from September 25 to October 8, 2024.

"During this campaign period, there were three reports from the public, a campaign team for candidate pairs, as well as legal counsel from the two pairs of candidates, alleged violations from election supervisors in the field," said the Coordinator of the South Lampung Bawaslu Data and Information Violation Handling Division, Arif Sulaiman, in Kalianda Tuesday, October 8, confiscated by Antara.

He also said the case had been registered and discussed at the Integrated Law Enforcement Center (Gakkumdu) level, and later directed to Bawaslu for further clarification.

Arif explained that the violations that occurred in South Lampung, such as money politics, social media videos, the involvement of state civil servants (ASN) and village heads (kades) or code of ethics.

He mentioned the winning team for the regional head candidate pair with the most complaints, because until now his party is still opening reports and also handling incoming complaints.

"The report to South Lampung Bawaslu will definitely be followed up, then the process will run according to applicable regulations," he said.

According to him, his party will continue to strive to be able to carry out its supervisory function carefully and fairly to ensure the integrity and validity of the Pilkada process in South Lampung.
