Fired By PDIP, Malang Cabup Gunawan HS Claims To Be Perpetrated Since The Legislative Election

Malang 2024 Regent Candidate number 2 Gunawan HS stated that he accepted the decision of the PDIP DPP to fire him because he was running in the 2024 Regent Election (Pilpup) contestation through the Golkar Party, Democratic Party, Hanura Party, and PKS.

Gunawan admitted that he had been wronged since the 2024 Legislative Election (Pileg) so that he did not get a recommendation for the 2024 Malang Pilbup from the PDIP DPP.

Gunawan said that his dismissal letter had reached his hand. He has also read the contents of the letter submitted by the Malang Regency PDIP DPP.

"The letter has arrived home and we have read it. Of course I will accept all the consequences that the party has on me, the consequences are dismissed from the party," said Gunawan, Monday, October 7.

He admitted that he was normal with the party's decree. He was also not emotional and accepted the party's decision gracefully. "It doesn't matter, it's normal. I'm also not emotional. I accept everything, like running water," said Gunawan.

Gunawan explained that before the 2024 Pilkada began, he was a figure who was asked by the PDIP DPP to build communication with other parties to prepare for the Malang Pilbup. He also worked hard to build communication with other parties in the hope of getting a recommendation from the PDIP DPP.

Over time, a number of parties have been willing to form a coalition with PDIP. However, at the last second of registering for Malang regent candidates to the KPU, the PDIP DPP decided to provide recommendations to other candidates (M Sanusi-Lathifah Shohib).

"The DPR has been wronged, I also did not get a recommendation, even though I received an order to communicate with the party. So, I am normal, not too confused with the party's decision," he said.

Meanwhile, PDIP DPP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto explained that the dismissal of cadres from the PDIP DPP was carried out because they were deemed not in line with the party. He emphasized that every cadre must be upright and must follow party orders.

"In every election, the party has made a decision through Mrs. Megawati Soekarnoputri, so that discipline in the pioneer party must be carried out absolutely. If it is not in line with party discipline, the choice is to resign or be fired," said Hasto separately at President Soekarno's grave.

As previously reported, the PDIP Central Executive Board (DPP) officially dismissed the Malang Regent Candidate (Cabup), Gunawan HS because he was considered disobedient to party policies and code of ethics and did not heed the PDIP DPP instructions regarding the recommendations of candidates for regent and candidate for deputy regent from PDIP in the 2024 Pilkada.

The decision to officially dismiss was stated in the number 1610/KPTS/DPP/X/2024, which was signed by PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri and Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto, on October 1, 2024.

The letter stated that Gunawan HS had violated the provisions, decisions and policies of the party. Gunawan is also considered to have violated the party's disciplinary code of ethics, and committed serious violations.
