Bali Police Detain Celebrity Flame Spa Prostitution Case

The Bali Police have detained a celebrity with the initials S alias N, a suspect in the alleged prostitution case in the Flame Spa, whose address is Jalan Batu Belig, North Kuta District, Badung Regency, Bali.

The Head of Public Relations of the Bali Police, Kombes Jansen Avitus Panjaitan, said that apart from S, his party had also detained the Director of the Flame Spa with the initials P at the Bali Police Detention Center after being forcibly picked up by investigators from the Bali Police Ditreskrimum.

"It's true, detention has been carried out. Both have been detained after the status of the two who were originally witnesses in the alleged crime of carrying out prostitution activities," said Jansen, Monday, October 7.

S and P were named as suspects based on the results of the case title where their status was upgraded from witness to suspect. After being named as suspects, both of them were absent from the summons of investigators for no apparent reason.

Jansen said the forced pick-up of the two additional suspects in the alleged prostitution case was carried out on Friday, October 4, 2024 yesterday. The pickup was carried out because the two of them did not come to the summons of the Bali Police Ditreskrimum investigators.

"Both of them have been summoned as suspects for questioning on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, but both of them did not clearly fulfill the summons given by the Bali Police Ditreskrimum investigators," Jansen said as quoted by ANTARA.

Both are currently in detention while the Bali Police are waiting for the transfer of case files to the Prosecutor's Office. Thus, in the prostitution case, there are five suspects who have been detained by the Bali Police.

Previously, three people, namely EG, HE and RI, each as marketing, reception and Spa managers were detained by the Bali Police for allegedly being involved in prostitution under the guise of the Spa.

Jansen said that apart from Jalan Batu Belig, North Kuta District, it turns out that the Flame Spa has three branches suspected of committing a similar crime.

From the search results, two others are located on Jalan Mertanadi, Badung Regency, and on Jalan Pantai Batu Bolong, Canggu, Badung Regency. The three places are suspected of committing the same crime.

The suspects were threatened with Article 29 and/or 30 Juncto Article 4 paragraph (1) and paragraph (2) of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 44 of 2008 or Article 296 of the Criminal Code (KUHP) and Article 506 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 of the Criminal Code with a maximum penalty of 12 years.
