Many Complain Leaked, Secretary General Checks The Condition Of The House Of Representatives Which Is Considered Unworthy

JAKARTA - The Secretary General (Secretary General) of the DPR, Indra Iskandar, directly checked the housing conditions of DPR members' official houses or Houses of Members (RJA) of the DPR in the Kalibata area, Jakarta, Monday, which were deemed unfit to be inhabited.

When he first arrived, Indra immediately went around checking the environmental situation in Block B of the RJA housing complex. Some of the houses were observed that some of them were occupied by their occupants, and some of them had also been vacated.

Meanwhile, the environmental conditions are still beautiful and well maintained. Several officers are still tasked with maintaining security and watering the plants in the garden around the official residence building area.

After walking around, he also checked one of the houses in Block A that was uninhabited. The house with the address A3-30 looks normal when viewed from the front, but some areas inside are not so neat.

Starting from the roof that looks like a leaking stain, up to several wall paints that have been peeling off. However, the furniture of the house is still complete and looks usable.

"Every day there are, what members convey is about 15 to 20 complaints. The average is related to leaks of houses," said Indra while inspecting the house.

Each house in the housing complex has a type of 100 square meters with a two-story building. The house consists of five rooms, one workspace, family space, garage, backyard, and kitchen.

After visiting the first house, Indra and his entourage returned around and checked one of the houses with the address B4-159. Approximately, the house also experienced the same conditions as the first house to visit.

In addition to physical problems, according to Indra, these official houses are often disturbed by rats to termites that can damage furniture. Then when it rains, according to him, the water from the Ciliwung River not far from the housing can overflow.

"And if it rains even bigger, it enters the house. But it's usually just feet," he said.

So far, his party is still processing the handover of these assets to the state through the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of State Secretariat.

However, according to him, people who still live in houses in the housing complex were asked to leave at the latest at the end of October 2024.
