JAKARTA - One of Lebanon's southernmost hospitals was unable to operate on Friday after an Israeli attack hit the facility.

Marjayoun hospital director, Dr. Mones Kalakish, said the attack killed seven people outside the hospital entrance.

"We lasted as long as we could, but this morning we were attacked and we had to evacuate," Klakish told CNN, Friday, October 4.

"We are panicking and scared," he added, calling the medical workers in dire conditions.

It is reported that 37 health facilities have been closed in southern Lebanon since the start of the Israeli bombing attack nearly two weeks ago, according to World Health Organization Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.

On Thursday, October 3, 28 health workers were reported killed as a result of an Israeli attack.

Israeli forces have fired bombs in the country's southernmost region in recent days as they prepare for a possible further ground operation in Lebanon.

Tens of thousands of people have left the area for fear of their safety.
