Asking Police For Help, 13-Year-Old Dog In Washington Saves Injured Owner

A 13-year-old dog rescued its 84-year-old owner after directing officers to where his injured employer was.

JAKARTA - A 13-year-old dog rescued its 84-year-old owner after directing the officer to where his employer was injured.

The incident occurred on September 25 when Deputy Wright from the SheriffX County office in Washington, USA, was patrolling rural forest areas.

Officers found a dog named Gitta sitting in the middle of the highway without anyone nearby.

"Wright tried to put the dog in his vehicle so he could try to find the owner, but the dog didn't want to get into his vehicle. Wright went on to check the area around where he lived within a mile and couldn't find the owner," the authorities said. ABC News, Friday, October 4.

Feeling something was wrong, Wright returned to the dog lying in the middle of the road, police said.

He tried to take his dog away from the highway, and the dog got out of the road that he rarely walked through and didn't mark. Wright followed the dog, and the dog took him to a small summer hut, the authorities continued.

Wright began to look around and finally found an old man lying on the ground asking for help not far from the hut.

84-year-old man who also has other medical conditions requiring routine treatment, fell and his leg was injured. He has been lying there for hours and may have serious consequences if he is not found, police said.

The 13-year-old rescue dog and best friend of the man who are in trouble, according to the Steven County Sheriff's Office.
