Chairman of the PDIP DPP Said Abdullah responded to the issue of the Head of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) Budi Gunawan (BG), PDIP politician Abdullah Azwar Anas, and PDIP general treasurer Olly Dondokambey rumored to be included in the Prabowo Subianto government cabinet and Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

According to Said, until now, there has been no clue from PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri that PDIP cadres will become ministers in the Prabowo-Gibran cabinet.

"There is no signal from the general chairman. The three names, both Mr. Budi Gunawan, both Mr. Azwar Anas, and Mr. Olly Dondokambey, are waiting for a decision from the DPP and the general chairman," Said said at the DPR building, parliament complex, Jakarta, last Thursday.

Said emphasized that there was no discussion about Prabowo-Gibran's cabinet ministers within the PDIP. Including, he said, Megawati had no instructions regarding the possibility of PDIP joining the Prabowo-Gibran cabinet and the quota of ministers from the PDIP.

"Not at all, whether Mr. Budi Gunawan, Mr. Olly, Mr. Anas, there is no internal discussion of the party and there is no instruction from the general chairman. We are all upright waiting for whatever orders are conveyed by the general chairman," said Said.

However, Said acknowledged that Prabowo and Megawati would meet before the inauguration of the elected president and vice president on October 20, 2024. He revealed that the meeting of Megawati-Prabowo would take place in a sacred place because it had historical value for the two national figures.

"It is certain that Mrs. Megawati's meeting with Mr. Prabowo as the president-elect of the momentum will be getting closer, I think if the inauguration of 20 (October) is long before the 20th meeting will occur," said Said.

It's just that, Said said, the meeting between Megawati and Prabowo would not discuss the PDIP's plan to strengthen and become part of the upcoming government coalition. According to Said, the meeting of Megawati and Prabowo was not a transactional meeting, but between our compatriots and the homeland.

"First (Megawati with Prabowo) of course exchanged ideas because Mrs. Mega was once vice president, the president too, Mr. Prabowo will hold the presidency for the next five years.
