Until D-1 Good Friday, 185 Thousand Vehicles Leave Jabodetabek

JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk noted that there were 185,916 vehicles leaving Jakarta, Bogor, Tangerang and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) since the first day of the long holiday for Easter Day celebrations, Thursday, April 1.

This figure is the cumulative traffic flow (traffic) from several main toll gates (GT), namely GT Cikupa (West direction), GT Ciawi (South direction), and GT Cikampek Utama and GT Kalihurip Utama (East direction).

"The total volume of traffic leaving the Jabotabek area has increased by 41.60 percent compared to normal traffic," said PT Jasa Marga's Corporate Communication & Community Development Group Head Dwimawan Heru in his statement, Friday, April 2.

Dwimawan said that the most vehicles leaving Jakarta headed east, namely around 93 thousand vehicles (50.53 percent). Then, vehicles heading to the west were 51 thousand (27.86 percent), and to the south were 40 thousand (21.61 percent).

Dwimawan appealed to toll road users to be able to anticipate trips before entering the toll road.

"Make sure vehicles and drivers are in prime condition, comply with health protocols (use masks, wash hands, keep your distance and stay away from crowds) while in a rest area, fill up sufficient fuel and electronic money, and comply with signs and directions from officers and take breaks if you are tired of driving, "he said.

The following is a breakdown of the volume of vehicles in three directions:

1. East direction

- GT Cikampek Utama 1, with a total of 51,614 vehicles leaving Jakarta, an increase of 77.54 percent from normal traffic.

- GT Kalihurip Utama 1, with a total of 42,333 vehicles leaving Jakarta, an increase of 54.71 percent from normal traffic.

The total number of vehicles leaving Jakarta to the East was 93,947 vehicles, an increase of 66.47 percent from normal traffic.

2. West direction

Traffic leaving Jakarta heading west via GT Cikupa Tangerang-Merak Toll Road is 51,793 vehicles, up 14.01 percent from normal traffic.

3. South direction

The number of vehicles leaving Jakarta heading to the South / Local direction via GT Ciawi 1 Jagorawi Toll Road is 40,176 vehicles, an increase of 36.50 percent from normal traffic.
