Jokowi Returns To Owning A Solo ID Card And Gibran Will Move To Jakarta

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has been managing the process of moving domicile since last month. Therefore, his name and First Lady Iriana are included in the final voter list (DPT) for the 2024 Solo City Mayor and Deputy Mayor Election (Pilwalkot). Jokowi again has a Solo City identity card (KTP).

"So the President has proposed a domicile move process from Jakarta to Solo since last September. So that currently he and Mrs. Iriana have returned to have a Solo ID card," said Solo City Regional Secretary (Sekda) Budi Murtono Wednesday, October 2.

However, he continued, Budi admitted that he did not know for sure whether the management of the transfer of domicile to President Jokowi and First Lady Iriana was carried out online or sent people to take care of them physically.

"Yes, because we are taking care of moving domicile now, we don't have to come personally to the civil record office (capil), but it could also be online. So we also don't know for sure if he sent people to take care of the process offline or online," he said.

Regarding the residence status of the elected vice president (wapres), Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Budi said, the former mayor of Solo and his wife and two children were still registered as residents of Solo City.

"If until now Mas Gibran and his wife are still in the Solo KTP, we have not received a notification for the transfer of domicile to Jakarta," said Budi.

According to the Head of the Population and Civil Registration Service (Dispendukcapil) of Solo City, Agung Hendratno, because Jokowi has already taken care of moving domicile, his party has followed up by processing the issuance of family cards (KK) and ID cards. It's just that when asked where the two will live, he admitted that he didn't know.

Since one month ago he has submitted the requirements for the transfer of residents. We have processed the issuance of the KK and KTP both. As for the domicile, whether to return to the residence in Sumber Village or not, we don't know yet," he said.

"Because as long as it's complete, we'll process it further. I don't know about the ID card, but if the family card and the transfer letter are already. It's registered as a Solo citizen again," continued Agung.

As previously reported, the first time the transfer of the population status of President Jokowi and First Lady Iriana from Jakarta residents returned to Solo City was discovered after the two entered the 2024 Solo City Pilkada DPT.
