PKB Appoints Rusdi Kirana As Deputy Chair Of The MPR, PKS Still Assigns HNW To Seat Leaders

JAKARTA - The MPR PKB faction appointed the founder of Lion Air, Rusdi Kirana, as deputy chairman of the MPR for the period 2024-2029. Rusdi is a member of the DPR from the East Java VIII electoral district.

Deputy Chairperson of PKB Jazilul Fawaid said that the appointment of Rusdi Kirana as chairman of the MPR had been agreed upon. Rusdi, he said, only remains to be appointed and inaugurated as the leader of the MPR from the PKB faction.

The plan is for the determination and inauguration of the MPR leadership to be held tomorrow, Thursday, October 3 at 10.00 WIB. Meanwhile, the selection of the MPR leadership will take place tonight at 19.00 WIB.

"Yes, it will be officially conveyed later in the MPR plenary session to be determined and inaugurated as deputy chairman of the MPR RI," said Jazilul.

Meanwhile, the PKS faction has also determined its cadres to fill the position of Deputy Chairperson of the MPR. PKS continues to assign Jakarta electoral district DPR member Hidayat Nur Wahid to occupy the chair of the MPR.

"Yes, it's still Ust Dr. HNW. God willing, it will be announced soon," said former chairman of the PKS faction, Jazuli Juwaini, Wednesday, October 2.

Previously, the Golkar Party faction confirmed that a member of the DPR for the South Sumatra electoral district I, Kahar Muzakir, was the leader of the MPR for the period 2024-2029 from the Golkar faction.

The news was confirmed by a member of the DPR from the West Java electoral district, Ace Hasan Syadzily.

"What is certain is that I am not," said Ace, Wednesday, October 2.

The deputy chairman of the Golkar Party revealed that the MPR leadership, the representative of the faction, is a person who has experience as the leader of the board's equipment (AKD).

"And he has also been the leader of the faction (DPR). Maybe I think it's a senior figure," said Ace.

"Later tonight it will be announced," he added.

When asked about the name Kahar Muzakir, Ace agreed.

"Yes," said Ace while nodding.
