KEDIRI - Kediri Regency Hospital (RSKK), East Java, handled approximately 127 patients suspected of having been poisoned with symptoms of nausea and vomiting simultaneously.

This incident occurred after they consumed snacks shared by the committee from an event in Krecek Village, Badas District, Kediri Regency.

Public Relations of RSKK Ahsin Usman stated that the patient had been admitted to the RSKK since Tuesday (1/10) night and continues to increase until now.

"There were 127 patients who entered until 11.00 WIB. There were eight people being treated, the rest were outpatients," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, October 2.

He explained that patients experience almost the same symptoms as nausea, vomiting. Some patients also experience diarrhea. Their condition is weak so they must be given treatment.

The patients were immediately given medicine after collecting data by officers. The majority of them are in better condition so that outpatients can be treated.

"For those eight patients who are still being treated, their current condition has improved, they just need to worry. It is possible that tomorrow or the day after tomorrow they can go home," he said.

For the treatment of patients suspected of being poisoned, it has also been through BPJS Kesehatan, so they don't have any fees. In addition, this incident is extraordinary, so as soon as possible you must get medical services from the hospital.

The Head of Public Relations of the Kediri Police, AKP Sriati, said that the incident, which was suspected of being poisoned, had also been handled by the police. In fact, the police have also asked for information from a number of parties.

"The police have been there (examining the victim). Currently, the police are still investigating. We are coordinating it because it is the police who handles the police," he said.

Residents suspected of having mass poisoning came from Krecek Village, Badas District, Kediri Regency. They were rushed to a number of hospitals, such as the Kediri Regency Hospital and the HVA Toelungredjo Hospital, Kediri Regency, after feeling sick with nausea and vomiting on Tuesday night.

The residents previously participated in recitation activities held in the village. They get snacks and drinks, which are donations from one of the shops in the village.
