Menpora Make Sure There Are No Arrears In Aceh-North PON Debt

BADUNG - Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Dito Ariotedjo ensured that there would be no debt arrears in the implementation of the XXI Aceh-North Sumatra National Sports Week (PON).

"The Governor of North Sumatra has met with us and for North Sumatra, Alhamdulillah, it has been confirmed that there are no debt arrears or payment relics," said Menpora Dito Ariotedjo in Kuta, Badung Regency, Bali, Tuesday, October 1.

Not only in North Sumatra, he continued, similar conditions in Aceh are also on track where there are no debt arrears.

The Minister of Youth and Sports revealed that previously he received questions related to the honorarium of the committee that had not been paid.

Dito emphasized that the payment of honorariums uses state money sourced from the APBN or APBD so that the funds issued require complete administration.

"So every (money) issued must have complete administration first and it is certain that yesterday there was an unpaid honorarium, it has been paid in full administration," he said.

Meanwhile, the rest with incomplete administrative completeness, he said, are being processed according to the rules so that administrative order is safe.

Likewise, regarding the honorarium in Aceh, added the Menpora, it was also found that there were dancers' honorariums that had not been paid.

"It (the dancer's sponsor) has been checked, the problem of payment schedules and administrative rules," he said.

On the other hand, the Minister of Youth and Sports also emphasized that he would evaluate the shortcomings that occurred during the implementation of the XXI Aceh-North Sumatra PON 2024.

All these deficiencies can later be improved during the next PON in East Nusa Tenggara-West Nusa Tenggara in 2028.

Meanwhile, based on data from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the total budget for sports parties every four years in Aceh and North Sumatra reached IDR 3.94 trillion.

In detail, as much as Rp2.2 trillion came from the state budget and the remaining Rp1.7 trillion from the Aceh and North Sumatra APBDs.

The Aceh Region PON Grand Committee totaled Rp1.8 trillion sourced from the Kemenpora State Budget of Rp270.3 billion, the PUPR Ministry's State Budget of Rp904.4 billion and the APBD of Rp640.3 billion.

Meanwhile, the North Sumatra Region PON Grand Committee reached a total of IDR 2.09 trillion, sourced from the Kemenpora State Budget of IDR 216.9 billion, the PUPR Ministry's State Budget of IDR 821.07 billion, and the APBD of IDR 1.06 trillion.
