Staying The Leadership Of The DPR With Puan, Dasco: We Must Pay Off Our Debts To The People

JAKARTA - The daily chairman of the Gerindra Party DPP, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, was re-elected as Deputy Speaker of the DPR. Dasco became the only vice chairman who remained the chairman of the DPR for the period 2024-2029 accompanying the Chairperson of the PDIP DPP Puan Maharani.

Meanwhile, the other three positions for the Deputy Speaker of the DPR RI have changed. Currently, the deputy chairperson of the DPR from the Golkar faction is filled by Adies Kadir, while the NasDem faction is Saan Mustopa. Then, the deputy chairman of the DPR from the PKB faction was held by Cucun Syamsurijal.

After being re-established as the leader of the DPR RI, Dasco said, there are three things that are the obligations of members of the DPR RI in the next five years. One of them is completing the promises and programs of the DPR RI that have not been completed in the previous period.

"There are three things that I will convey for the future. First, we have to pay off our debts to the people for programs that have not been completed," Dasco said during a press conference, Tuesday, October 1.

The DPR for the period 2024-2029, continued Dasco, must improve performance and make new breakthroughs for Indonesia's progress.

"Secondly, we will improve the performance of the DPR and (third) make new breakthroughs for the good and progress of the nation and state," said Dasco.
