TASIKMALAYA - The Tasikmalaya City Police arrested a gang of ATM money burglars who had previously been chased because the perpetrator fled by car after being caught by the victim in Tasikmalaya, West Java.

The arrest began with a report from the community who became victims of a gang of ATM money burglars in one of the mini markets, Mangkubumi District, Tasikmalaya City, Monday (31/9).
The victim and the perpetrator had a commotion, then the victim, who was suspicious of the gang, reported it to the nearest police station, not long after the police arrived, and the gang immediately fled using a Suzuki Ertiga car.
The police then chased the other perpetrators using patrol cars and coordinated with all police stations in the Tasikmalaya City Police jurisdiction.
The police finally stopped the perpetrator's car in the Kadipaten Police area, Tasikmalaya Regency or 33 km from the beginning of the chase location in the Mangkubumi area.
The police and the community arrested three people who broke into ATM money, while the other perpetrators fled towards the Cikidang River and a ravine around the scene.
The police chief said that the pursuit of the perpetrators was finally successful in coordinating the entire ranks of the Mangkubumi Police, Jabisan Police, Ciawi Police, and Kadipaten Police.
"The speed of our members in responding to information and acting has yielded positive results," he said.
