JAKARTA - Chairman of the PDIP DPP Puan Maharani was re-elected as Chairman of the DPR for the 2024-2029 period.

Puan also invited 580 members of the DPR who had just been inaugurated and made an oath as members of the council to carry out the people's mandate with full responsibility.

"Let us carry out the mandate of the people with full responsibility and dedication for the welfare of the people," said Puan after being appointed as the leader of the DPR for the period 2024-2029 at the Plenary Meeting of the Opening of Session Period I for Session Year 2024-2025, Tuesday, October 1.

Puan also thanked the people who had given the mandate to members of the DPR for the 2024-2029 period to carry out constitutional duties.

"On behalf of all members and leaders of the DPR RI, we would like to thank the people for trusting us to be representatives of the people for the 2024-2029 period," said Puan.

Puan stated that the leadership of the DPR collectively collegial within the next 5 (five) years from October 1, 2024 to September 30, 2029 will coordinate and synergize all implementation of the agenda and activity materials of the DPR RI equipment.

Puan emphasized that the coordination and synergy will be directed so that all members of the DPR RI and the DPR RI council (AKD) equipment carry out the legislative, budget, supervision and diplomacy functions effectively.

"We, the leadership of the DPR RI, collectively collegial, will lead by prioritizing joint work, mutual cooperation, building cross-baction communication, cross-commissions and agencies of the DPR RI, to achieve togetherness," he said.
