10 Names Of Capim KPK Handed Over To Jokowi: Pahala Nainggolan Eliminated, Johanis Tanak Advances

JAKARTA - The Selection Committee (Pansel) for Candidates for Leadership and Supervisory Board of the KPK has handed over 10 names of candidates for leadership to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) today.

Of these, there is the name of the Deputy Chairperson of the KPK Johanis Tanak. Meanwhile, the name of the Deputy for Prevention and Monitoring of the KPK, Pahala Nainggolan, was eliminated after undergoing the interview selection.

"We have received eight of them, Mr. President, to convey the final results of the selection of candidates for leadership and supervisory boards and submit the names of 10," said Deputy Chairperson of the KPK Pansel Arif Satria to reporters at the Ministry of State Secretariat building, Jakarta, Tuesday, October 1.

"So it was conveyed earlier and the president appreciated the work of the Pansel and he expressed his gratitude for the work that the Pansel had done," he continued.

Arief explained that there are a number of criteria that are the benchmarks of the Pansel to elect candidates for the head of the anti-corruption commission. One integrity, two capabilities, and acceptability," he said.

In addition, the reputation and public trust are considered by the Pansel to determine the 10 capims submitted to President Jokowi.

"So the aspect is very broad and the considerations are also based on input from various circles," said Arief.

"Even the determination of the criteria is also the result of public input, including the media, our media colleagues are invited, our CSO colleagues are invited, our academic colleagues are invited, we invite businessmen and that is for our efforts to accommodate aspirations, what kind of figure is needed to be able to carry out our duties and functions," he explained.
