The National Police deployed a bomb disposal unit (jibom) and K9 in a scheme to secure the inauguration of members of the DPR RI for the period 2024-2029, at the DPR RI Building, Senayan, Central Jakarta.

Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, said the deployment of the unit was to detect potential threats and sterilization.

"Do early detection and identification of any potential threats to take early anticipation and sterilization measures with Jibom and K9 units," Trunoyudo said in his statement, Tuesday, October 1.

Overall, securing the inauguration of members of the DPR RI is part of the Great Ops Brata 2024 which is tasked with the instructions of the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

At least 5,614 personnel were deployed in a series of security measures. They were deployed at all points around Senayan, Central Jakarta.

"The National Police carried out security by involving 5,614 personnel with details of the regional task force totaling 4,006, Polres Task Force 585 personnel, central task force 598 personnel and stakeholders related to 425 personnel including the TNI and local government," he said.

Meanwhile, regarding the engineering of traffic flow, it is stated that its application is situational. This means that it is enforced if the escalation of vehicles increases or is limited to density.

"Doing arrangements, guard, escort and patrols on the routes that are traversed, if necessary, traffic diversion or engineering will be carried out," said Trunoyudo.
