JAKARTA - Chairman of the PDIP DPP Said Abdullah admitted that he had received a leak that anyone who would occupy the seat of the DPR leadership for the period 2024-2029. Said ensured that the Chairperson of the DPR RI was still held by Puan Maharani.

"Mbak Puan Maharani has led the Indonesian House of Representatives for the second time," said Said at the Senayan Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Tuesday, October 1.

Meanwhile, for the position of deputy chairman of the DPR, according to Said, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad remains the representative of the Gerindra faction. Then there are three bar names to accompany Puan as the leader, namely Adies Kadir from the Golkar faction, Saan Mustofa from the NasDem faction and Faisol Riza from the PKB faction.

"Of course, from Gerindra Pak Dasco, Golkar seems to be in my opinion, Adies Kadir, from Nasdem Saan Mustofa and from PKB, the former chairman of commission 6 of Adida Riza," he said.

Then, Said said, Secretary General of the Gerindra Party Ahmad Muzani will be the Chair of the MPR for the 2024-2029 period replacing the Deputy Chairperson of Golkar, Bambang Soesatyo.

"What I know is Mr. Muzani, Chairman of the MPR. God willing, because after all, the elected President has an MPR chairman, it's only natural," said Said.

"(From PDIP) there has been no letter from the DPP," he added.

Previously, Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, confirmed that there was no change in the provisions for the preparation of the formation of the leadership of the DPR for the period 2024-2029. He stated that the formation of the leadership of the DPR would still follow the MPR/DPR/DPD/DPRD (MD3) Law.

"We both know that in this period there has been no change in the MD3 Law so that the leadership of the DPR certainly refers to the MD3 Law which is still valid at this time," said Dasco at the Senayan Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Monday, September 30.

According to Dasco, the chairman of the House of Representatives for the next period will still come from political parties (political parties) that won the 2024 Legislative Election, namely the PDI-P. Meanwhile, as for the deputy chairman of the House of Representatives, there will be 4 representatives whose rice comes from the party according to the order of the most votes.

"Yes, of course, if you look at the MD3 Law, the leadership package has been regulated by the provisions of the winning one, second, third, fourth and fifth leadership packages which will later be proposed by each faction of their names and will be immediately determined," said Dasco.
