Term Of Office Ends, Bill On Asset Confiscation And Bill On PPRT Discussed By DPR For The Next Period

JAKARTA - The Indonesian House of Representatives for the 2019-2024 period will hold the last plenary meeting today at Nusantara II Building, Parliament Complex, Senayan, Central Jakarta, Monday, September 30.

Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives from the Gerindra faction, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, said that in this meeting his party would complete several unfinished agendas.

"Today's plenary meeting is the final closing plenary meeting for the period of members of the DPR 2019-2024. So that today we will complete several unfinished agendas that we will complete," said Dasco at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday, September 30.

The plenary meeting, said Dasco, will also be closed by listening to the final speech of the Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani.

"And then the final speech was the closing of the Speaker of the House of Representatives as the end of the 2019-2024 period," he said.

Dasco also responded to the three bills that became public concern, such as the Asset Confiscation Bill, the Indigenous Law Bill, and the Domestic Workers Protection Bill (PPRT).

The daily chairman of the Gerindra Party said the three bills would be discussed by the DPR RI for the period 2024-2029.

"So we have discussed that the two laws, namely Asset Confiscation and Customary Law, have never been discussed in the past period, we will enter the National Legislation Program for the next period," explained Dasco.

"Well, specifically for PPRT, because there are already road stages, in order to follow up we will carry over in the next period there will be further stages to then enter the discussion stage," he concluded.
