Three 14-Year-Old Middle School Students In Bogor Viral After Reckless On The Road While Holding Sickles

Bogor City Police followed up on a viral video of a sharp armed motorcyclist speeding up while brandishing the weapon on Jalan Sholeh Iskandar.

Tanah Sareal Police Chief Kompol Ariani in Bogor City, Sunday, September 29, said that his party was tracking the vehicle owner from the number plate detected in the viral video.

The video circulated on Instagram social media, which shows a number of motorcyclists riding three races. Some of them brandished sickles.

"The Honda Beat motorcycle was detected on behalf of NA in Munjul Village, Kayumanis Village," said Ariani.

The police came to the vehicle owner accompanied by the head of the RT and a local youth figure.

After being traced, Ariani said that it was found that the young men who were riding the motorbike were three junior high school students with the initials KP (14 years old), RF, (14), and MM (14).

"After we called and asked, it turned out that the incident occurred two weeks ago on September 13, 2024 at around 20.00 WIB. There was a brawl between schools, but there were no victims," he said.

The Tanah Sareal Police also picked up two children whose residence was outside Munjul Village. At that moment, assisted by the head of the RT and the toloh of local youths, the children involved in the video and their parents were gathered.

They admit that there has indeed been a sharp abuse as recorded in the viral video but in the summons, they cannot show the sharp weapon.

"Witnessed by their respective parents, these children promised not to repeat it again, by making a statement, and being signed by all parties," said Ariani.
