13 Died And 12 Longsor Victims In Solok Successfully Evacuated Selamat

Joint SAR evacuated Sugeng's body, a landslide victim in the illegal mining area of Sungai Abu Village, Hiliran Gumanti District, Solok Regency (ANTARA).

JAKARTA - The National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) stated that all landslide victims in the illegal mining area in Solok Regency, West Sumatra, totaling 25 residents had been successfully evacuated and 12 of them survived.

Basarnas Deputy for Operations and Training Edy Prakoso in Jakarta, Sunday, said that of the total number of victims who were successfully evacuated, 13 people died and 12 people survived.

Based on a report from the Operations Section of the Padang SAR Office, lastly on Sunday at 08.00 WIB or the third day of operation, two victims were evacuated; a man named Zulmadinir who was safe and Sugeng was dead.

According to him, the survivors and deceased had been handled by a medical team, including at the M Natsir Regional General Hospital (RSUD).

Basarnas will coordinate further with all elements involved, including local governments, to decide whether the SAR operation starting on Friday (26/9) will continue or not.

Apart from that, Basarnas together with other related parties are also still alerting personnel and giving opportunities to residents if they feel that a family member has been missing in the incident to report to the officer at the Sungai Abu Command Post, Hiliran Gumanti District, Solok Regency.
