TANGERANG - The General Elections Commission (KPU) is still opening the door to registration for the admission of members of the Voting Organizing Group (KPPS) for the 2024 simultaneous regional elections until Saturday, September 28, at 23.59 WIB.

The Socialization Division, Education for Community Participation Voters and Human Resources of the South Tangerang City KPU, Heni said that to this day 8,715 people have registered from the 14,420 required KPPS personnel.

"There are still less than 5,705, if the percentage of new achievements is 60 percent," said Heni Lestari when contacted, Friday, September 27.

Heni assessed that the level of registrants to become KPPS was still too low. Because for him, there are still many registrants who have taken the form, but have not returned the complete file.

Therefore, Heni has asked a team from the voting committee (PPS) to carry out a ball pick-up pattern related to a medical test which is one of the administrations for the complete registration requirements for KPPS members.

"We have collaborated with the health office to accelerate health tests to call health services to open posts in PPS and their respective sub-districts," he explained.

In addition, Heni also said about other obstacles in meeting the needs of KPPS personnel. According to him, if the average registrant candidate contains workers and students, they can only spend their time on holidays.

Moreover, the registration process for KPPS members, if on weekdays only until 16.00 WIB. "Hopefully on the final day it can reach 100%, because on holidays we are open until 23.59 WIB," he said
