Women In Jatinegara Persecuted By Money Loan Money Loans, Kicked Feet, Dragged, Face Beaten

JAKARTA - A woman with the initials RS (46) became a victim of abuse by a moneylender or a cash lender with high interest rates to residents.

The incident took place in Bendungan Village, RT 10/06, Balimester Village, Jatinegara, East Jakarta, when the perpetrator with the initials L was collecting debts from the victim.

In the police report number: LP/B/3105/IX/2024/SPKT/East Jakarta Metro Police/Polda Metro Jaya, the incident occurred on Tuesday, September 24. Initially, the perpetrator came to the victim's house to collect debts.

However, the victim at that time did not have the money and asked for time to pay off the debt. The perpetrator did not accept it and got angry and then kicked the victim in the right leg. The victim was dragged, hit the left temple and strangled the victim's neck.

In addition, the victim's right hand was also twisted by the perpetrator. For this persecution, the victim of the hospital suffered injuries to the left temple, right hand and neck as a result of the abuse by the perpetrator.

The head of the RW around the location, Dwi Lestari, confirmed the incident. The victim has made a report to the East Jakarta Metro Police regarding the incident.

"Balimester residents are billed for debt by L. It screamed until there were injuries, kicked, beaten, strangled, there was a post-event video," said RW Dwi chairman to VOI, Friday, September 27.

Then on Wednesday, September 25 evening after the victim made a police report, the victim of the hospital and her husband and the victim's sister went to the house of the head of RW Dwi to exchange opinions in the RW 01 area of Rawa Bunga Village, Jatinegara.

"The victim and her husband and sister IN came to my house at 8 pm. Came to my house to share with RW staff as well, so there I, RW staff and Mr. RW also shared about what the chronology happened. The next step is the willingness of the citizens to report (police reports)," he said.

Then around 21.00 WIB, the perpetrator with the initials L came back and was angry.

"He without permission entered my yard. Without permission, without permission immediately billed the victim's debt. It was angry. There I forbade him, sorry, don't collect at my house, I said. Then instead of stopping cursing the victim there, the perpetrator even added (the emotion peaked)," he said.

Dwi said, the perpetrators again made noise to local residents and caused a crowd of residents. The actions of the perpetrators made residents restless.

"I and my husband objected and were disturbed by this arrogant attitude from L. Because I have heard no complaints from residents once or twice, L is in debt by hitting, kicking, molesting residents until residents are injured," he said.

Meanwhile, the case is being handled by the East Jakarta Metro Police Satreskrim PPA Unit. The perpetrator is still under police investigation.
