Ending His Term Of Office As Minister Of Defense, Prabowo Apologizes To Commission I Of The DPR

JAKARTA - Minister of Defense (Menhan) Prabowo Subianto apologized to Commission I of the DPR while attending the last working meeting at the DPR building.

The elected president apologized if his five-year performance as Minister of Defense disappointed.

"I also apologize if in my work for 5 years as Minister of Defense there is something that disappoints all of you," Prabowo said during a meeting, Wednesday, September 25.

However, Prabowo emphasized his intention to become Minister of Defense to safeguard Indonesia's sovereignty.

"But I want you to believe that my intention is solely to safeguard the interests and sovereignty of the Indonesian nation," he continued.

The General Chairperson of Gerindra also apologized on behalf of the Ministry of Defense during a collaboration with Commission I of the DPR. Prabowo also congratulated the service of the members of the council.

"And hopefully we will continue to work together for our nation and country," said Prabowo.

In the future, Prabowo said, there is a bigger task to wait. According to him, the task must be done together again.

A bigger task awaits all of us. Thank you, may God be with you. And may Indonesia always be strong and victorious," he said.

It is known that Prabowo Subianto will be sworn in as the 8th President of the Republic of Indonesia on Sunday, October 20. The inauguration will be carried out at the MPR/DPR/DPD building.
