JAKARTA - Bagus Prabowo (32), the perpetrator of the robbery, was arrested by residents of Pondok Kelapa after being shouted at by a student with the initials T, a local resident. The perpetrator Bagus Prabowo was shouted at by residents after successfully seizing the victim's cellphone with the initials T, who was still wearing a school uniform.

The incident occurred on Jalan Swakarsa III, RT 05/02, Pondok Kelapa Village, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta, Wednesday, September 25. The perpetrators who were arrested by residents became the masses who were annoyed with the actions of the perpetrators on a monthly basis.

Based on the victim's statement with the initials T, he was the target of a robbery when he came home shopping from a shop.

While holding a cellphone in his hand, the perpetrator who had been stalking the victim immediately carried out the confiscation.

"Initially I went to the shop, after I came home from the shop, I happened to have called mom. Well, the cellphone on my right hand and groceries on the left hand. He immediately took it with his left hand and the motorbike was gasted," T told reporters at the scene.

Realizing that his cellphone was stolen by the perpetrator, victim T then shouted "jambrett" while chasing the perpetrator.

"I immediately chased, I screamed. The perpetrator then fell, he himself was riding a motorbike. Then the perpetrator was arrested by residents," he said.

When the residents managed to arrest him, the face of the perpetrator immediately received a "twisted bomb" gift from residents who landed on his face. The perpetrator was then secured to the local RW security post.

The man wearing a maroon red jacket and blue jeans kept covering his face. The perpetrator carried the identity of the ID card and SIM C. The perpetrator admitted that he deliberately snatched the student's cellphone, which looked weak, in the hope of not putting up a fight. Instead, he screamed until he fell off the motorbike.

Even so, a number of residents continued to gather to see the perpetrators when arrested. Every now and then, the perpetrators get hair plugs by local residents.

To avoid the tantrums of the masses, members of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Duren Sawit Police immediately arrived at the location and carried out security. The perpetrators along with the victim and the evidence were then taken to the Duren Sawit Police.

As a result of the robbery of cellphones on the road, the perpetrators were threatened with Article 365 of the Criminal Code related to theft with violence.
