KPK Selects Covid-19 Social Assistance Quota For The Chairperson Of Commission VIII DPR RI Yandri Susanto

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) continues to investigate the alleged bribery case for the provision of COVID-19 social assistance (bansos) for the Greater Jakarta area by the Ministry of Social Affairs. One of them is by investigating the provision of quota for procurement to companies affiliated with officials.

One of the officials suspected of receiving the social assistance package quota from the Ministry of Social Affairs is the Chairman of Commission VIII DPR RI Yandri Susanto. This was revealed after KPK investigators examined him on Tuesday, March 30.

Acting KPK spokesman for the field of prosecution Ali Fikri said the politician from the National Mandate Party (PAN) was suspected of getting a quota from the subordinates of former Social Minister Juliari Peter Batubara, Adi Wahyono. However, Ali did not explain further how much quota was obtained by Yandri from the Ministry of Social Affairs Commitment Making Officer (PPK).

"This was confirmed to the witness regarding the alleged quota of social assistance packages given from the suspect AW (Adi Wahyono) to the witness," Ali said in his written statement after the examination was carried out.

In addition, the anti-graft commission investigators also investigated the main duties and functions of Commission VIII DPR RI, which is the working partner of the Ministry of Social Affairs.

Although he did not elaborate further because all of Yandri's statements had been included in the witness' examination report (BAP), Ali confirmed that all investigations related to the bribery case would be opened in court. This was done to prove the criminal acts of corruption that had been committed by the suspects.

Meanwhile, Yandri, after being questioned, admitted that he had conveyed everything he knew regarding the alleged bribery case to the KPK investigators. He conveyed this after undergoing examination for other suspects, namely the former Ministry of Social Affairs Commitment Making Officer (PPK) Matheus Joko Santoso.

"The materials that were asked of me have all been conveyed to investigators. Please ask the investigator, that is the material for the investigation, ”said Yandri to reporters at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, March 30.

There was no information whatsoever was conveyed by Yandri afterwards. Including when alluded to the provision of recommendations for PT Total Abadi Solusindo to the Ministry of Social Affairs to participate in the provision of social assistance for COVID-19 in Jabodetabek.

Likewise, related to communication with one of the suspects Matheus Joko, who is a commitment-making official (PPK) at the Ministry of Social Affairs. The politician from the National Mandate Party (PAN) stated that all his statements had been given to the KPK.

"Please ask investigators," he said.

In this case, the KPK named a number of suspects including former Social Minister Juliari Peter Batubara. Apart from Juliari, the KPK also named four other suspects, namely the Commitment Making Officer at the Ministry of Social Affairs (PPK) Matheus Joko Santoso and Adi Wahyono as the bribe recipients and Ardian IM and Harry Sidabuke as the bribes.

This case began when Juliari appointed two commitment-making officials (PPK) Matheus Joko Santoso and Adi to carry out this project by directly appointing partners.

The KPK suspects that it was agreed that there was a fee from the work package that partners had to pay to the Ministry of Social Affairs. As for the fee for each COVID-19 social assistance package that Matheus and Adi agreed to, it was IDR 10,000 from a value of IDR 300 thousand.
