JAKARTA - Russia's Foreign Ministry said the Ukrainian attack on the Kursk region killed 31 civilians and injured 256 people on September 5.

Ukraine on August 6 launched its biggest foreign attack on Russia since World War Two, breaking through borders to the western Kursk region supported by swarms of drones and heavy weapons, including Western weapons.

Russia says 131,000 civilians have fled the most dangerous territory in the Kursk region.

Meanwhile on the Ukrainian side, 16 civilians were injured, including a 15-year-old boy in Russian airstrikes in Zaporizhia.

Zaporizhia Governor Ivan Fedorov said there were seven Russian airstrikes on the surrounding cities and districts. Attacks damaged 13 apartment buildings, educational institutions, cars, garages, and private residences.

Rescue teams evacuated residents from several damaged apartment buildings, Ukraine's Interior Ministry said via Telegram reported by Reuters, Monday, September 23.

The ministry said based on preliminary information, Russia used guided aerial bombs to attack Zaporizhia.
