Two Members Of Polda Metro Jaya Disir Water Hard When Disbanding Brawls In Kembangan, West Jakarta

JAKARTA - Two members of the Polda Metro Jaya Pioneer Patrol Team were injured due to being doused with hard water when disbanding a brawl between groups of teenagers on Jalan Joglo Raya, Kembangan District, West Jakarta.

Kembangan Police Chief Kompol Moch Taufik Iksan confirmed the incident. He explained that the two victims were named Bripda Muhammad Zulfan Satria Wicaksana and Bripda Gerald D'Hargado.

"Bripda Muhammad Zulfan suffered injuries to his face, feet and hands. Meanwhile, Bripda Gerald suffered injuries to his face and hands due to splashes that were thought to have come from hard water when he dispersed the brawl," he said when confirmed, Monday, September 23.

The two members are receiving intensive care at the Kembangan Hospital. The incident began when the Metro Jaya Police Pioneer Patrol Team was patrolling and found the action of a number of teenage brawls.

Then members of the Metro Jaya Police Pioneer Patrol Team tried to disperse the two groups of teenagers involved in the brawl. However, when the disbandment was carried out, there was a teenager who threw a liquid that was strongly suspected of being hard water at the officers.

"After the incident, the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kembangan Police immediately moved quickly to the location to conduct a crime scene (TKP). The team is also in the process of identifying the perpetrators suspected of sprinkling the hard water," he said.

Currently, the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kembangan Police is still pursuing the perpetrators of sprinkling hard water.

"We have dispatched a team to investigate further and hunt down the perpetrators," he said.
