Jakarta Pilkada Cagub-cawagub Debate Held 3 Times, 150 Minutes Duration

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta General Election Commission (KPU) held a three-time debate for candidates for governor and deputy governor of the DKI Jakarta Regional Head Election (Pilkada).

"We have had a meeting with the organizers television, which is for three debates each," said Head of the Jakarta KPU Socialization, Education and Community Participation Division Astri Megatari as reported by ANTARA, Sunday, September 22.

Astri said the first debate would be held on October 6, 2024.

Then, in the implementation of the debate different from the presidential election, the two candidate pairs from the governor and deputy governor will be present together in the debate.

"As for the regional elections, the debate is direct, so both of them will be presented immediately during the three debates," he said.

The duration of the DKI Regional Election debate will be held in about 150 minutes with each implementation for 120 minutes and 30 minutes for ad breaks.

For the location, the DKI KPU is still waiting for the places that will be submitted by the debate organizers' TVs.

The DKI KPU has determined that each candidate can bring the team to successfully adjust the predetermined quota.

"For serial number draw, 60 people each, if for later the peace declaration can be 100 people," he said.

The people of DKI Jakarta are advised to be able to think logically, critically, and not be easily influenced.

Considering that the Pilkada is only held once every five years, it is hoped that the public will exercise their right to vote as well as possible.

The General Election Commission (KPU) of Jakarta has stated that the three pairs of candidates (paslon) for the governor and deputy governor of DKI Jakarta meet the administrative requirements to run in the 2024 Pilkada which will be held on November 27, 2024.

The three candidate pairs are Pramono Anung-Rano Karno (Pram-Doel), Ridwan Kamil-Suswono (Rido) and Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana (Dharma-Kun) from independent.
