Rape Of Girl, 2 Men In Malaysia Sentenced To 11 Years In Prison Plus 2 Cambukan Rattan

The court sentenced two defendants to 11 years in prison for raping an 18-year-old girl in a car in the entertainment center area, Jalan Tun Razak, Malaysia.

The two defendants were also sentenced to two rattan cans.

The defendants were B. Satia, 27, who works as a truck driver, and his colleague T. Khanesen, 31, as the supervisor of the construction site.

"After the court considered mitigating matters and considering the facts examined as fairly as possible, the good behavior bond orders requested by the two defendants were inappropriate and inappropriate to be given," said Chief Justice Izralizam, who chaired the hearing today, Friday, September 20, quoted by Bernama.

"Therefore, the court sentenced the two defendants to 11 years in prison with two rattan cans," he continued.

Previously, the lawyers of the two defendants filed a criminal application with a guarantee of good behavior, and considered the fact that the two defendants were the backbone of the family and this was the first time they had committed a crime.

However, Deputy Public Prosecutor (JPU) Nor Aisyah Mohamed Zanyuin refused to apply for the involvement of the two defendants in the crime of rape, which is a serious crime.

"The prosecutor demanded severe punishment as a lesson for the two defendants to be held accountable for their actions. The prosecutor demanded immediate imprisonment to affirm the public's refusal, punish the perpetrators, and most importantly, protect women," said Nur Aisyah.

The case of the rape of an 18-year-old girl by two defendants occurred in a city car in the entertainment center area of Jalan Tun Razak, Maluri, at around 05.20 am, on May 13, 2023.
