AGO Auctions 12 Cars And 3 Motorcycles Asset 2 Convicted DNA Pro

JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office (AGO) has auctioned off assets belonging to two convicts of the DNA Pro case on behalf of Stefanus Richard and Muhammad Assad.

Head of the Attorney General's Office for Legal Information, Harli Siregar, confirmed that the results of the auction were returned to the victims of the fraudulent investment.

"The looted goods that were auctioned were 12 cars and three motorbikes from two convicts," he said when contacted in Jakarta, Friday, September 20, confiscated by Antara.

He said the Attorney General's Asset Recovery Agency together with the Bandung City Prosecutor's Office and the State Confiscated Object Storage House (Rupbasan) had carried out an aanwijzing (allegation of the auction) activities for looted goods in criminal cases.

The booty that was auctioned was the result of a money laundering crime in the DNA Pro case with the convicts Stefanus Richard and Muhammad Assad.

He explained that as many as 12 cars and three motorbikes sold for Rp. 12.3 billion, with details of 11 cars and three motorbikes belonging to the convict Stefanus Richard sold for Rp. 11.1 billion from a limit price of Rp. 8.1 billion.

"Meanwhile, for Muhammad Assad's property, it was sold for Rp. 1.2 with a limit value of Rp. 789 million, so there was an increase of Rp. 418 million," he said.

Harli added that the proceeds from the sale of these assets will be returned to victims of the DNA Pro trading robot through the association.

"This is in accordance with the Bandung District Court Decision Number: 732/Pid.Sus/2022/PN.Bdg dated January 13, 2023," he said.

In the DNA PRO case, there were 10 defendants with the initials JG, RK, R, YTS, EDP, DT, SR, RS, HAM, and FYT. They are suspected of having committed criminal acts of fraud and/or embezzlement and/or criminal acts of information and electronic transactions (ITE) and/or criminal acts of trade and/or money laundering with the DNA Pro application.

Based on the investigation by the National Police Headquarters, there were 122 victims of DNA Pro fraud who suffered losses totaling up to Rp17 billion.
