Woman Motorcyclist Hit By Stray Bullet In Ciracas

JAKARTA - A motorcycle rider was hit by a bullet targeting a firearm while crossing Jalan Kampung Baru 1, Kelapa Dua Wetan, Ciracas District, East Jakarta, Thursday, September 19. The victim with the initials YT suffered injuries to his left temple due to being hit by a hot bullet.

Not only YT, one resident's house was also targeted by stray bullets. The bullet shot broke the glass of a house.

A total of two bullet projectiles were also found at the scene. The live ammunition is strongly suspected to have come from firearms.

According to YD's statement, an eye witness to the incident, at that time the victim was about to get off the motorbike he had just parked.

"When he wanted to standardize the motorbike, he immediately shouted 'oh.' Then he sat here. He said (the victim) should not be held and photographed first. It was hit on the left temple. He said the bullet was stray," said YD.

YD also said that the incident occurred at around 10:00 WIB. But he did not hear the sound of the firearm eruption directly. He only heard the sound of a collision above the roof tile.

"I didn't hear the sound of the eruption, but the sound to the roof sounded 'pletang'. But the RT called, he said there was an explosion sound (a firearm)," he said.

As a result of the injury, the victim was immediately taken to the nearest hospital.

"The victim has been taken to the ER for treatment," he said.

Meanwhile, the police from the Ciracas Police conducted a crime scene investigation. One projectile measuring two centimeters long has been secured as evidence.
