Spanish Caucasians Who 5 Times Eat Refuse To Pay At Warung Made Et Al Deported From Bali

DENPASAR - A Spanish citizen with the initials CNG (37) was deported by Bali Immigration officers. This foreigner was deported for acting not wanting to pay restaurant bills or lodging during a vacation on the island of Bali.

"The person concerned admitted his actions and argued that he could not pay because of financial problems," said Denpasar Head of Immigration Detention Center (Rudenim), Gede Dudy Duwita, Thursday, September 19.

This Spanish citizen entered Indonesia on May 13, 2024, via Bali's I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport using Visa on Arrival (VOA).

He came with his girlfriend with the initials ATL, a Colombian foreigner, with the aim of taking a vacation in Bali.

In Bali, this Spanish foreigner was secured with his girlfriend on June 7, 2024 by the South Kuta Police on reports of a number of restaurant and inn owners.

These foreigners do not pay bills at five restaurants and one inn while they live in Bali. The affected restaurants are Warung Made, Indian Cuisine, Warung Bisrot, Warung House Lounge & Bar, and Oyo Berlian House inn in Ungasan, South Kuta District.

When questioned, this foreigner admitted that he had financial difficulties while in Bali and was waiting for money from his family abroad.

This foreigner claims to communicate with some restaurant and inn owners, tries to explain the situation and asks to pay later.

But there was no agreement until finally this Spanish citizen was secured by the police and was handed over to Immigration until he was finally deported.

"In accordance with Article 102 of Law Number 6 of 2011, deterrence can be carried out no later than six months and can be extended every time as needed. Further decisions will be determined by the Directorate General of Immigration," said Dudy.
