Nyoman Sukena Sujud Syukur Divonis Bebas Kasus Pelihara Landak Jawa

The Panel of Judges at the Denpasar District Court (PN), Bali, acquitted Defendant I Nyoman Sukena (39) in the case of keeping four protected Javanesehogs.

The verdict was read out by Chief Justice Ida Bagus Bamadewa Patiputra during the trial on Thursday, September 19.

"It was not proven legally and convincingly guilty of committing a criminal act as indicted in a criminal law. The second acquitted the defendant Nyoman Sukena, restoring the defendant's right to his dignity," said Bamadewa.

Nyoman Sukena immediately prostrated his gratitude after the verdict was read by the chairman of the panel of judges. He also hugged his beloved wife Ni Made Lastri (34).

"I thank God, all levels of society, basically I am free and grateful. To my media friends, I also thank you very much during this case," said Sukena.

Sukena said that with this case, she would no longer keep protected animals.

Regarding the four hedgehogs that are now confiscated by the Bali BKSDA, Sukena handed over the handling to the officers.

"For (landak) I only submit the authorities," he said.
