There Is A State Task, Prabowo Cancels Attending The PKS Rapimnas

JAKARTA - The President-elect of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, canceled attending the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) National Leadership Meeting (Rapimnas) which was held at the PKS DPP on Jalan Simatupang, South Jakarta, Thursday, September 19. This is because the Minister of Defense is undergoing state duties that cannot be abandoned.

"In this Rapimnas, it should be attended by the President-elect Mr. Prabowo Subianto, but he apologizes for being unable to attend because there are other state tasks that he must attend," said PKS President Ahmad Syaikhu in a speech. Rapimnas at the PKS DPP, South Jakarta, Thursday, September 19.

"But God willing, without reducing our solemnity and enthusiasm to attend this Rapimnas, God willing, Rapimnas will still provide motivation and enthusiasm for all of us," he continued.

Syaikhu said, today's Rapimnas is the beginning of a series ahead of the National Working Meeting (Rakernas) which will be held on Sunday, September 22. The National Working Meeting was held to prepare for the victory for PKS cadres who will participate in the 2024 Pilkada contestation.

"Tomorrow until Sunday we hold a national working meeting in order to prepare for our readiness to enter simultaneous regional elections throughout Indonesia," he said.

Syaikhu stated that PKS remained solid even though it was hit by issues, including the abandonment of its supporters. Especially after PKS joined the Advanced Indonesia Coalition and did not carry Anies Baswedan in the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election.

"Of course we are grateful that in facing various political challenges we can carry out full preparedness at every moment in every situation, which I am very proud of the cadres of the structure of the Prosperous Justice Party, which the president before me said Mr. Sohibul Iman said, is PKS' capital, namely its solid structure. Thank you DPP and DPW in the midst of the exposure of various issues, we remain solid," he said.
