JAKARTA - A teenager with the initials MA (19) was arrested by members of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cengkareng Police for being involved in a brawl on Jalan Utama III, Cengkareng District, West Jakarta. As a result of the incident, one person suffered injuries to his mouth. Ironically, his friends pawned the victim's cellphone for medical expenses.

Information gathered, the perpetrator with the initials MA was arrested after slashing a teenager with the initials MR (17) during a brawl between groups. MA was arrested by the police in the Cengkareng Barat area along with his sharp weapon.

Cengkareng Police Chief Kompol Stanlly Soselisa said MR was seriously injured by a sharp weapon stab in the mouth and immediately received medical treatment at the Cengkareng Hospital.

"The victim suffered a stab wound to his mouth and is currently receiving treatment at the hospital," said Kompol Stanlly, Wednesday, September 18.

Kompol Stanlly explained that the brawl occurred after a group of victims who were hanging out in Pesakih, Kalideres, met with a group of perpetrators. Then the two got into a brawl.

According to the perpetrator's statement, the two groups had planned a brawl through Instagram social media.

During the brawl, MA and MR were involved in a one-on-one duel, which resulted in MR being stabbed in the mouth. MR was then taken to the hospital, while the victim's friends pawned MR's cellphone for Rp. 200 thousand for medical expenses.

As a result of his actions, the perpetrators of the Supreme Court were charged with Article 80 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning violence against children resulting in serious injuries, with a maximum prison sentence of five years.
