The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Calls Kaesang Riding A Private Jet To The US Without Friends Claimed To Give Tebengan

JAKARTA - KPK Deputy for Prevention and Monitoring Pahala Nainggolan said the Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Kaesang Pangarep only took four private jets when he entered the United States. In fact, President Joko Widodo's son (Jokowi) previously admitted to going out together or riding with his friend.

"The four of them left, yes. Kaesang, his wife, his wife, and staff. So four of them," Pahala told reporters at the ACLC KPK building, Rasuna Said, South Jakarta, Tuesday, September 17.

Pahala said that no presidential security forces (paspampres) were involved in the group. Meanwhile, regarding the whereabouts of Kaesang's friend, Pahala did not want to talk much.

"Later we will ask," he said without elaborating on the clarification process of Kaesang's friend, known to have the initials Y.

The estimated cost of one trip is said by the KPK to reach Rp90 million per person. So, if this facility is declared as gratification, Kaesang must pay to the state in the amount of Rp360 million.

"If it is determined that it does not belong to the state, that's fine. The report is not going anywhere," he said.

As previously reported, the Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Kaesang Pangarep said he had explained about the use of the private jet facilities he used when he made a trip to the United States with his wife, Erina Gudono. He claims that he took a plane belonging to his friend.

"I conveyed information about my trip to the US who was riding or accompanying a friend of mine," Kaesang told reporters at the ACLC KPK building, Rasuna Said, South Jakarta, Tuesday, September 17.

Complementing Kaesang,men Widjojo as his spokesman said there was a document filled by President Jokowi's son. Meanwhile, Kaesang visited the old KPK office at around 10.30 WIB. He then finished his business at 11.30 WIB.

"Earlier, Mas Kaesang filled out a gratification form. Later, we just have to wait for directions and instructions from the KPK," said Maria Widjojo at the same location.
